Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace analysed political parties’ election manifestos and the Greens’ manifesto came out on top.
Their verdict:
š„Green Party = 98%
š„ Lib Dems = 79%
š„ Labour = 51%
ā Tories = 13%
Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace have compared the Green Party manifesto with Labour, Tories and Liberal Democrats.
From the Friends of the Earth website:
Parties were scored across a range of measures, not just the environment. The Green Party came out on top by some distance. The rankings include top scores for Greens on Housing, Justice, and Transport – and a near perfect score for Energy too.
As the Friends of the Earth website puts it: “Manifestos are solemn pledges between political parties and the electorate at general elections, so what they include matters.” Read the Green Party manifesto here.
